WHY A LINDEMANN?

Because LINDEMANN has stood for audiophile excellence for over 30 years. Because our products combine cutting-edge technology, precise circuit design, and carefully selected components to create an unmatched musical experience.
And because we rely not only on the most modern tools and methods – but above all on the best measuring instrument of all: our ears.

THE ART OF LISTENING

At LINDEMANN, everything we do serves one purpose: the pure and uncolored reproduction of music – this is the benchmark by which we measure our products. With over 30 years of experience in the development of loudspeakers, amplifiers, and digital sources, we know exactly how to apply the latest technologies and highest-quality components with precision.

But it's not just about the “what” – it's about the “how.”
The true art lies in achieving the best possible sonic result from these ingredients.
And that’s where the strength of our mastermind Norbert Lindemann truly shines.

As we like to say: “Every violin is made of wood – even a Stradivarius.”
It’s the subtle nuances, the attention to detail, and the relentless pursuit of perfection that make all the difference.

DESIGNED & MADE IN GERMANY

LINDEMANN is a high-tech manufactory where state-of-the-art technologies are used to develop audio devices that set benchmarks in both sound and functionality. We deliberately focus on a small and refined portfolio of products that are carefully maintained and represent true highlights in their class.

All products are developed in Germany and manufactured in small production runs. A large product lineup with a flashy brand name and outsourced development and manufacturing in Asia? Not our thing.

At LINDEMANN, the founder still knows every circuit detail and every supplier personally.

1993

Industry insiders may remember …

LINDEMANN’s very first product, the AMP1 integrated amplifier, made a name for itself right away by winning a surprise test victory in STEREO magazine. Its successors, the AMP2 and AMP3, also drew growing attention from both music lovers and the audio press.

1996

The first breakthrough …

… came in an international test field with the AMP4, which won top honors in AUDIO magazine – the first integrated amplifier ever to receive a perfect score of 100 points. "Musically, it’s more attractive than any other in its price class."
Since then, the AMP4 has found many fans and remained a top contender in the audiophile amplifier market for years.

1999

With the CD1, LINDEMANN introduced …

… one of the world’s first CD players featuring re-sampling technology. Its highly analog sound character revolutionized the market for audiophile CD players – a feat acknowledged by STEREO magazine, which expanded its rating system to 5 stars in response. The CD1 – later refined as the SE version – gained wide acclaim and became one of LINDEMANN’s best-selling products to date.

2000

An impressive upgrade to the CD format …

… was achieved by LINDEMANN with the in-house developed HiDRA® re-sampling technology, first introduced in the CD1 SE and later in the D680. Both models received international praise, as HiDRA® enabled virtually jitter-free CD playback for the first time.

2001

LINDEMANN also committed early to Super Audio CD …

2002

A new loudspeaker lineup is introduced …

The B60 and B90 models are enthusiastically received by both the press and customers. Like LINDEMANN electronics, these loudspeakers are characterized by their remarkably natural, dynamic, and low-coloration sound reproduction.

2004

With the launch of the 820 Super Audio CD Player …

… LINDEMANN once again surpasses its own D680 and reinforces its position as a leading manufacturer of world-class digital sources. To this day, the 820 – and its refined version, the 820S – are regarded as reference-class players among CD and SACD connoisseurs worldwide.

2005

At High End 2005, LINDEMANN surprises once again …

The 850 Dual Mono Power Amplifier introduces a radically new concept in analog power amp design, setting a bold statement. Alongside it, the brand-new 830 Stereo Control Amplifier combines uncompromising sound quality with intuitive operation – another highlight of the 800 Series.

2007

LINDEMANN sets new priorities …

Computer audio becomes a key pillar of product development. The USB-DDC is the first LINDEMANN model to allow a PC or Mac to be connected to a traditional hi-fi system – and, as always, with top-tier sound quality.

2010

Expanding expertise in computer audio …

The USB-DAC 24/192 proves to be an outstanding digital-to-analog converter – earning test winner status in The Absolute Sound magazine in the U.S. The 825 High Definition Disc Player also features the XMOS board from this DAC and becomes the first CD player ever to offer a USB input in asynchronous mode, supporting up to 24-bit/192 kHz.

2011

LINDEMANN stays ahead in amplifier design …

With the 885 Integrated Power Amplifier, LINDEMANN introduces, for the first time, the single-ended push-pull voltage amplifier topology in a fully symmetrical transistor design.

2013

The smart Musicbook series marks the beginning of streaming at LINDEMANN …

These compact, high-end digital sources with integrated preamp offer matching power amps and an optional CD drive.
Also in terms of design, the milled aluminum housing stands out as a true highlight: "I have to say that I cannot recall ever seeing a more beautiful hi-fi component," writes Hugh Douglas of Australian HiFi.

2016

The Musicbook: DSD becomes LINDEMANN’s most successful product to date ...

… and introduces DSD resampling of all digital source data (1-bit conversion) for the first time.
The series is also improved in many key areas: a completely new streaming platform, a Bluetooth aptX module, and a USB audio input supporting up to 384 kHz and DSD256.

2018

LINDEMANN celebrates 25 years!

To mark the occasion, several exciting new releases are launched – above all, the fresh and compact Limetree Series, promising cutting-edge technology at an accessible price. Among them: a phono preamp, headphone amplifier, USB DAC, network player, and a streaming bridge.

2019

The third generation begins …

LINDEMANN introduces the next evolution of the successful Musicbook Series – and with good reason.
The new Musicbook SOURCE and POWER models raise the bar yet again: solid aluminum housing, completely redesigned electronics, Roon support, integration of over five streaming services, and much more.

2020

The Limetree Series gets even better!

The second generation of the award-winning Limetree Series is here – and once again, the upgrades are substantial.
It starts with the PHONO II, now offering even greater sonic performance thanks to an improved circuit design.
Soon after comes the BRIDGE II, breathing new life into older DACs with highly adjustable sample rates.
And finally: the NETWORK II, reworked in every detail, featuring an ESS DAC chip and an outstanding headphone amplifier that sets new standards.

2024

Revolutionary new loudspeakers? Absolutely.

The MOVE loudspeaker introduces a completely new concept, combining a full-range driver with an AMT super tweeter.
The result: a stunningly natural and time-accurate music reproduction.
Together with the active bass module GROOVE, LINDEMANN presents its first modular active speaker system.
Brand new in the lineup: the MOVE mini, a compact micro monitor that redefines its class with unmatched naturalness and sheer listening joy!
